On April 30th, our world changed forever. Our dad, Jeff Dority, passed away peacefully in his sleep but the loss has left a space in our lives that can never be filled. Jeff was the kind of person who showed his love through action. When his elderly mother, Barbara, needed help, he didn’t hesitate. He left behind the only life he had known in California and came to Oregon to care for her full time. Day after day, he made sure she was safe, fed, and cared for because that’s who he was. He loved deeply, and he gave everything he had. He didn’t do it for recognition. He did it because family mattered to him more than anything. Now, our family is facing the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye while trying to navigate the financial burden that comes with it. We are asking for help to: • Bring family members together during this time of loss • Cover funeral and memorial expenses • Support immediate needs as we grieve and adjust If you knew Jeff, you knew his heart. If you didn’t, please know this he was someone who would have shown up for anyone in need without hesitation. The impact he made and so many life's will never be forgotten.
