Supporting the Nelson/Hightower Family

Ogden, UT

W
Story

Barry and Carla were involved in a serious accident on Tuesday, April 7th while traveling to Island Park for a family reunion. They sustained multiple injuries, were first stabilized at a nearby hospital, and then flown to a larger facility for ongoing treatment. Both are currently in the Intensive Care Unit as they begin the long process of healing. Many people love Barry, Carla, and their children, and naturally want to know how they’re doing. The family is grateful for the concern and asks that everyone continue to look for updates in the group chat and respect their privacy during this difficult time. At this time they are requesting no visitors to the hospital. Several family members — including Jennae, Aubrey, and Erin — are at the hospital supporting Barry and Carla and have a variety of needs right now. Erin and Trevor also have four young children at home who will need help with care and activities. Aubrey traveled here from Connecticut and will have ongoing travel needs as well. At the moment, everyone is staying together at Trevor and Erin’s home to stay close and support one another. Providing meals would be especially helpful to ease the load for both the adults and the kids. Additional support with house cleaning, childcare, transportation for activities, and other day‑to‑day needs would also make a meaningful difference. The family deeply appreciates every offer of help. Anything you feel able to contribute during this time will support their healing and allow them to focus on Barry and Carla.
