Our mom Kaye had a left sided ischemic stroke in March of 2025. It was a devastating stroke that affected her entire right side. After 2 icu stays and an imu stay they sent her home on hospice. She wanted to fight so she came off of hospice and was placed on home health. She ran into someone more health issues, which turned out to be a saddle PE. She was fighting infection after infection. She was put on the right meds and then again sent back to the hospital for what we thought was another stroke. It was actually from the same infection not responding to medications. After another multi day hospital stay we are exhausted and we're hoping our friends and family would step in and help with meals for a few days to help take the weight off of me so I can focus on moms recovery and being with my kids and husband.
