My name is Casey Askew, I’m 24 years old, and I’m reaching out to ask for help during one of the most important times in my life. For the past three years, I was homeless and struggling with addiction while trapped in a physically abusive relationship. During that time, my children were placed in foster care. Losing them was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced, and it became the turning point that pushed me to fight for a better life. Today, I am proud to say that I am 100% clean and sober, no longer homeless, and working hard every day to rebuild a stable, healthy future for myself and my kids. I’ve enrolled in college and am studying to become a Surgical Technician—a career that will allow me to provide for my family and turn my struggles into strength. I’ve come so far, but I’m facing one last obstacle before I can bring my children back home: transportation. In order to reunify with them through my DCF case, I need my own reliable vehicle. Having a car is the final requirement for me to give my kids the safe and secure home they deserve. I am asking for help in raising $3500 to purchase a dependable used vehicle and cover insurance costs in my name. With this, I will have everything in place to win my custody case and finally bring my children home where they belong. Every step of this journey has been a fight, but I’ve proven to myself and to those around me that change is possible. I am not asking for luxury—just the chance to rebuild my life and be the mother my children need. If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, please know that your support means more than words can express. Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing this will help me get one step closer to holding my kids in my arms again. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting a second chance at life and family. With gratitude, Casey Askew
