Our dear friends, Ashley, Jim, and Kolbie are facing the unimaginable after the loss of their sweet five-year-old son, Ridge. This page was created to surround their family with love, prayers, and practical support during the hardest time of their lives. Remembering Sweet Ridge Ridge was so much more than his medical journey. He was a brave, loving, and joyful little boy who brought light into every room he entered. Born with multiple heart defects and a single kidney, Ridge faced challenges from the very beginning of his life. He endured surgeries, hospital stays, and medical battles that no child should ever have to face. Yet through it all, Ridge continued to amaze everyone around him with his strength, his personality, and his ability to keep fighting. His life was filled with love. He was surrounded by parents who never gave up on him and who fought for him every single day. Ridge was a miracle. He defied odds, inspired doctors and nurses, and showed everyone what true courage looked like. His smile, his spirit, and the love he shared will never be forgotten. Why We Are Asking for Help Before losing Ridge, Ashley and Jim spent months focused completely on caring for him. They stepped away from work to be by his side through surgeries, hospital stays, and countless medical challenges. They gave Ridge every ounce of love, time, and energy they had. Now, while they are grieving the unimaginable loss of their son, they are also facing overwhelming financial stress. They are behind on bills, facing funeral expenses, and working to cover the cost of Ridge’s headstone. After being out of work for months, they have even had to take out a second mortgage to help manage these unexpected expenses.
