Meal Train for Zach, Victoria, and Walker

Bostic, NC

Story

On January 31, 2026, our family lost Brandon Kale Atkins in a tragic accident. Brandon was a devoted father, proud Pawpaw, twin brother, and the kind of man whose laughter, crazy jokes, and wholehearted love filled every room. His children and grandchildren were his world. Oak Island beach trips, Mexican dinners, and family gatherings will never be the same without him. As Zach, his sister Megan, Brandon’s twin brother Brian, and the entire family walked through the unimaginable task of planning his funeral, they did so in shock and deep grief — leaning on their faith and on one another. In the midst of this heartbreaking week, another devastating loss unfolded. Just days later, Zach and Victoria learned that their precious baby boy no longer had a heartbeat. What had looked perfect on ultrasound became another painful goodbye. Victoria required an emergency procedure and hospital stay, leaving Zach to attend his father’s funeral while also carrying the weight of losing his son. In the span of two weeks, this family has said goodbye to both a beloved father and their precious baby boy. Through it all, Zach has held steadfast to his faith — a reflection of the strength and character Brandon instilled in him. Victoria has stood beside him with unwavering love, even while grieving deeply herself. And sweet Walker continues to be a bright light in the middle of so much sorrow. As they navigate this season of overwhelming loss, we would love to surround them with practical love and support. Providing meals will give them space to grieve, rest, and simply be together as a family. If you feel led, please consider signing up to bring a meal, sending a gift card, or sharing a note of encouragement. Most of all, please continue praying for strength, peace, and comfort — trusting that their baby boy is now in the loving arms of Pawpaw Brandon. 💙👼 Thank you for loving them and the entire Atkins family.

Special Notes

Zach and Victoria are not picky and are grateful for anything provided. The only request from Zach is no tomatoes and no onions, please. Walker is a little more selective and would happily enjoy chicken nuggets, pizza, fries, fruit, and/or mac & cheese. If it’s easier, gift cards or picking up something locally are always thoughtful options. They enjoy Chick-fil-A, Mexican food, Barley’s, and Japanese cuisine. Fast food or takeout can simply be a convenient way to help during this season. Thank you so much for loving and supporting our family in such a helpful way.
