Collyer Family - Supporting Brian & Carrie!

Hello! Many of you have been here for Aaron's journey after he was paralyzed in an accident in March, '23. Since then, the "Core Four' support group of parents Brian and Carrie, and older sister Amanda have gone through quite a few changes - Aaron returned to Alabama with Brian and Carrie after Amanda was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and remained in Utah for treatment. Good news - she is finishing in October, and moving to AL to help out again! This last week, Brian needed medical attention after losing mobility and sensation - he was diagnosed with Guillain- Barre, a rare neurological disorder, and is back home from the hospital after receiving immunoglobin infusions, and he able to walk. We are so grateful it was caught and treated early! However, Brian and Carrie are sole caregivers for Aaron, and Brian is unable to help out in the short term while we recovers and is undergoing Physical Therapy. The siblings Amanda, Jamie, Jeremey, Kate, Brenton, Jaycie, Troy, and Aaron are also trying to remove as much work for Mom, who is now caring for both Aaron and Brian! We are seeking help with the following for short term care until Amanda is there full time - Visa / GiveCard (from GiveInKind) allows us to disperse the funds across all local restaurants, grocery stores, Uber, Amazon, etc) 1) Online Gift Cards: - InstaCart / CareCard / DoorDash: Meal & grocery delivery we can order as needed - most flexible option :) - Visa / Uber: for Brian's transport to PT, so Carrie can stay with Aaron, $200 - Lowe's: Wheelchair flooring project, $500 - Amazon: Amanda's move to AL; furniture $250 2) Local - Home maintenance tasks, Evening help with Aaron: - Home: 2 bedroom flooring project: carpet removal, cement paint; furniture removal & replacement - Home: Wall hangings, paint scuffs, etc - Helping Carrie: cleaning / food prep / organizing)
