Baby Ashton made his unexpected arrival at just 22 weeks on October 2, 2026. By God’s grace, both mom and baby are doing well and are adjusting and adapting to this new chapter. We are so thankful to God for the miracle of Ashton and for every day we get with him. If you feel led to give, any support is completely optional but very much appreciated. More than anything, though, what Sadai, Luchi, and Ashton need right now are prayers. Please pray for Ashton’s continued growth, strength, and development, for Sadai’s recovery, and for both parents as they navigate everything being asked of them right now. At this time, Sadai and Luchi are having limited visitors. Because Ashton was born so early, protecting him from illness and infection is extremely important. Please do not visit if you are experiencing any cold, flu, or any other symptoms of illness. Even something that may feel like a minor cold to an adult can be dangerous for a baby this premature. We appreciate everyone understanding and respecting this boundary as they focus on Ashton and his recovery. Baby shower details have been paused, but in the coming months, Sadai and Luchi will still be preparing for the day they can bring their baby boy home. They can use all the love and support they can get as they prepare for that day. If you would like to contribute, their registry is available here: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/sadai-pira-february-2027-portsaintlucie/30URTL0OH00WP (you can also find it by clicking "Amazon Wishlist" on this page) Please remember that the new parents are being pulled in many different directions right now. Between being there for Ashton, communicating with doctors, recovering, making decisions, and simply trying to process everything that has happened, they may not always be able to respond to messages, provide updates, or communicate as quickly as they normally would. Please give them grace, patience, and space when needed. For those who would like to help, meals, gift cards, donations, registry items, and prayers are all appreciated, but there is absolutely no expectation to give. If you aren't able to give financially, please know that your prayers, encouragement, and understanding are just as meaningful. Most importantly, please continue to pray for baby Ashton, Sadai, and Luchi. We are trusting God one day at a time and are incredibly grateful for this precious miracle and the opportunity to watch Ashton grow stronger. Thank you for loving this family, respecting their privacy and boundaries, and surrounding them with prayer and support during this unexpected journey.
