Supporting Rachel During Kidney Transplant Surgery

W
Story

🩵 Welcome to Rachel’s Support Page Rachel is having her kidney transplant surgery on Tuesday. This is a huge step forward—but her recovery is going to take a few months, and she’ll need time to truly rest and heal. We created this page to make it easy for people who love Rachel to show up for her in practical ways and make a big impact. 🍽️ How You Can Help Meals (aka one less thing to think about): Signing up for a meal or sending food is incredibly helpful. Whether it’s homemade or DoorDash, it all counts and is very appreciated. Venmo & Gift Cards (the MVPs of support): These give Rachel and her family flexibility for whatever comes up day-to-day. Helpful options you will find on this page: • Venmo @Rachel-Fedick (easy, flexible support in any amount) • DoorDash or other food delivery • Walgreens pharmacy (medications + supplies) • Target/grocery store • Visa gift cards for anything and everything 💸 The Real-Life Stuff Rachel will be out of work for about 3 months and unfortunately doesn’t have short-term disability. On top of that, she needs to stay near Mayo Clinic for at least a month after surgery. There was a transplant house option, but it doesn’t allow her kids to stay with her, so she chose to rent an apartment instead. It’s more expensive, but being with her kids during this time was an easy decision. If you’re able to give financially, it will go toward: • Medical expenses • Housing during her stay near Mayo • Everyday bills while she’s unable to work Truly, any amount helps take some pressure off so she can focus on healing. 💕 A Note from Us Rachel is one of those people who just shows up, no questions asked, no hesitation and no judgment. Now it’s our turn. Whether you send a meal, a gift card, donate, or just share this page, you’re helping more than you know. And if you’re not sure what to do… Venmo, gift cards and food are always a safe bet. (We promise 😄) Thank you for loving and supporting Rachel and her family. It means everything. 🩵
