Story

A brief recap: July 28, I had emergency abdominal surgery. This followed a procedure on July 20, called TAE trans arterial embolization, was performed to block blood supply to a few metastases in my liver, thus killing these tumors. Since that time, John has been my constant support and caregiver along with my children and my siblings. My recovery will likely takes months according to the Drs, so since the risk of infection is beginning to decrease I am asking for help with meals & visits. Compassionate care comes in many forms - meals, giving John a break, a short visit, photos of your travels or everyday activity, prayers of all kinds, a FaceTime call or calls the old fashioned way. If I’m too tired, I will have my phone on airplane mode. Many people already have dropped off things that bring a smile and a laugh, or nourished John this past week. Thank you to all. For meals: PLEASE READ and adhere to all of the dietary restrictions below! These are so very important for my healing. We will have a cooler on the front porch for placing food and since HP squirrels are aggressive, a heavy object on the lid. WITH SO MANY OFFERINGS OF DINNER, PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO BRING ONLY 1 DINNER PER MONTH. Evenings are a difficult time for me so NO visitors as you drop off food. If possible, deliver meals between 4-6. If you remember, text me (513-235-4963) or John (513-312-6178) when you drop off your dinner. I love you all. Embrace your life. Choose to have a PMA (positive mental attitude). THANK YOU ALL. Diane
