My neighbor was diagnosed today with stage 4 cancer. It came pretty sudden so it left the family, especially his wife with little time to prepare. He brought home the dough. He was the one who cooked. He was the handyman, the doctor. The one who you went to for advice or a shoulder to cry on. But looking at him, you may never think he was more than just an average neighbor. Can we please help his wife? She's going through depression she doesn't want to leave her house. Their kids, kind of went off the grid so there's no help from them. If we all can at least make her a home cooked meal, or spare a dollar or just be a friend please let me know. I know how hard it is to find out a loved one has been diagnosed. This time, there is no "get well soon" so please let's help her to make this time a little bit easier for her.
Wife cannot eat things spicy. Husband can only eat soft foods like mashed potatoes, bananas, pudding, jello, yogurt and everything must be sugar free because he is also a diabetic. You can always ask what else he would like to eat. It just depends on his energy that day.
