Not an easy nor fun post to put out onto social media, but Sky is so well known in the community, that we figure why not rally the love and support of our village. So here goes: Sky had an unexpected stroke on late Sunday night. He is only 54. Pretty scary stuff, but he was put into collective good hands quickly and we are making our way through the process. Still figuring some things out while in the hospital, but then he will be transferred to inpatient rehab for a few weeks. There is quite a bit of uncharted waters ahead, and we’re doggie paddling. We’ve been through hard things before, and we’ll find our way through this one as well. In sickness and in health, right? People have asked how they can help; simply your positive energy and prayers are enough. But an occasional encouraging text or message goes a long way too. A meal is always welcome as we find our way with our new schedule, as well as maybe a good sturdy dog walker to have on hand should we need it for our two goofy Goldens. Thanks for all the love and support friends; we feel carried through this in more ways than one ❤️ Shelley and family
The family prefers chicken, turkey, veggies, pasta, salads, soups, perhaps a casserole. They try to be mindful of healthy eating. They tend to not eat beef or pork. There are no food allergies. You can also signup for a food gift card if you don't like to cook. :) There will be a large cooler or two on the front porch of their home with ice packs for anything that needs to stay refrigerated as well as a Tupperware storage bin for anything that needs to be protected from weather.
