Gabriel "Gabe" Ty'Shawn Romeo-McWilliams, age 13, of Erie passed away Monday, August 3. He is the beloved son of Lamont McWilliams and Danielle Romeo-Smith. Gabe was a seventh-grade student in the Eagle's Nest Program, where he was growing, thriving, and doing excellent in school. He worked hard, earned high honors, and continued to show the determination, courage, and character of a young man becoming more and more himself each day. Gabe loved good people and surrounded himself with friends and neighbors who valued his presence and came looking for him. If there was a knock at the door, it was most likely for Gabe, because he had to have his outside time. He definitely knew more people in the neighborhood than his family did, and he brought people together wherever he went. In addition to his parents, Gabe is survived by his siblings, Aria Romeo-Smith, Faison McWilliams, Lamont McWilliams Jr., Naava Romeo-Pickens, Casauni McWilliams, and Solana Romeo-Pickens. In addition to mom, there are four children living at home ranging in age from 15 to two years old. The younger kids like pizza and the older kids like soul food. For take out, they like Cheddars or Dinas. Best days for drop off: Sunday, Tuesday, Friday between 3-5 p.m. No pork.
