DONT TRASH OUR LAKE $800 to raise Growing up around Lake Sam Rayburn, I spent countless hours enjoying its beauty and the sense of freedom it gave me. I’ll admit, I was once part of the problem—leaving trash behind and not thinking about the consequences. But as I got older, I realized how much those actions affected the lake, the wildlife, and the community. Many of my favorite spots have been closed off permanently because of pollution, and I’ve seen firsthand how discarded fishing lines and trash can harm animals. It’s heartbreaking to help a tangled animal and know that it could have been prevented. Now, I feel a responsibility to make things right and ensure future generations can enjoy the lake as I did. That’s why I started the DONT TRASH OUR LAKE project. I want to raise funds to buy trash bags, gloves, shovels, and other supplies needed to clean up the lake and surrounding roads. The money will also help cover transportation and disposal costs, and if I get permission, I plan to build large stationary trash cans in high-traffic areas to make it easier for everyone to keep the lake clean.
This isn’t just for me—it’s for every single person who lives near or visits Lake Sam Rayburn. I need your help to protect the future of our community. If you’re thinking about being careless, please remember: DON’T TRASH OUR LAKE
