Help Eric & Jennifer Recover: From Heartache to Overflowing Hope

Bruceville, TX

Story

April 2024 has been a challenging month for two wonderful individuals I hold dear to my heart. On April 9th, heavy rainfall in central Texas led to a sewer system backup, flooding Jennifer Wilson's duplex within minutes where a family of seven resided, including three small children. Everything on the floor was lost, including beds and bedding, furniture, appliances, clothing, towels, shoes, toys, and irreplaceable items. Jennifer's claim with her renter's insurance was denied, and though the leasing agency has provided some assistance, the loss of her home and belongings is significant. Additional claims are being filed, but no resolution has been reached yet. At the same time, the family is split up, resulting in a chaotic whirlwind and utter exhaustion all while trying to reestablish a home with all of the necessities and comforts that a home provides. As the family worked to save Jennifer's belongings from the flooded duplex, Jennifer’s fiancée, Eric Anderson, suffered a Nstemi heart attack on April 14th. This led to a successful double bypass surgery on April 18th at Temple Scott & White Hospital. Eric, also diagnosed with Type II Diabetes during this health scare, is now managing it with insulin. The recovery from surgery, expected to last about six weeks, prohibits Eric from working and driving. These restrictions are particularly challenging as Eric is in a business partnership with his father and also pursues a side job as a DJ for various events. Additionally, Eric lacks health insurance, and the accumulating medical bills from this unexpected health emergency are overwhelming and growing. Support is essential during times of joy and sorrow. It takes a VILLAGE!! Eric and Jennifer, who are cherished by many, need help with meals, grocery and food deliveries, financial aid, home goods, furniture, appliances, beds, emotional support, and your prayers. If you are willing to help, please consider signing up to assist. Your kindness, prayers, messages, calls, and visits are greatly appreciated!
