Hi everyone 💛 I wanted to share a quick update: I'll be having surgery on May 1st and will be in recovery through May 22nd and possibly longer. I’m having a full hysterectomy to help relieve long-time ongoing pain from severe PCOS, possible endometriosis, and some thrilling complications tied to my Crohn’s disease. Long story short: I'm evicting a very uncooperative and pain causing organ and am hoping for a much more peaceful (and much more pain free!) future 😅 Both my OBGYN and I are really hopeful this will bring some long-term relief and a big improvement in day-to-day life. In the meantime, I’ll be embracing her orders to rest, recover, and temporarily retire from things like cooking (tragic, I know). I’m fortunate to have some support through sick leave and Colorado’s FAMLI program, which I’m incredibly grateful for (and also, if you need help navigating FAMLI, I am more than willing to help). However, during recovery, having some help with meals would make a huge difference for River and me and will let me focus on healing instead of figuring out what (or how) to cook for dinner. If you’re able, or just want an easy way to help, I would be so thankful for anything you can contribute, whether it’s a meal, snacks, or even just a kind message. Truly, it all means so much to me.
