On Thursday February 12th, 2026, my best friends faced the worst thing a parent could ever face. The death of their oldest child. They found her unresponsive in the dining room of their home and despite their efforts and EMTs, she was not able to be saved. Their entire world is in turmoil and their hearts are broken. Destiny was 23 years old, was engaged to be married, and has a brother who loves her dearly. She touched many lives in her short life and her loss is devastating to the community and to every person she has touched. A go-fund-me has been set up and is separate from this fundraiser. That is raising funds to assist with final expenses and bills while they are out of work processing their loss and making appropriate arrangements. This fundraiser is intended to give them gift cards for things like personal needs, food, coffee and needed medical supplies and medications while they work through this unimaginable loss.
