During the annual Stop Six Community Party, Officer Caleb Ferren was one of several victims injured in the tragic shooting that occurred during the event. By the grace of God, the bullet first struck Caleb’s patrol vehicle before ultimately striking him, helping prevent what could have been an even more devastating outcome. Among the other victims were a child, an adult female, and an elderly female. In a profession where officers willingly put themselves in harm’s way to protect others, incidents like this serve as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made every day by those who wear the badge. While Caleb was attending an event designed to bring the community together, tragedy struck without warning. What happened that day is something no officer, family member, or community should have to endure. Yet through it all, God’s hand was evident. Caleb is in good spirits and is being lovingly cared for by his wife and fellow FWPD officer, Rocsann Ferren. As they navigate the days ahead, they are doing so with the faith, resilience, and strength that have always defined their family. Anyone who knows Caleb and Rocsann knows that service is not something they simply do, it is who they are. Whether serving their community, supporting fellow officers, volunteering their time, or stepping up when someone is in need, they have consistently put others before themselves. They have celebrated victories with us, stood beside us through hardships, and answered countless calls for help without ever expecting anything in return. Their impact reaches far beyond the badge, touching the lives of friends, coworkers, neighbors, and complete strangers alike. Now it is our turn. While Caleb focuses on healing and recovery, we want to help ease the burdens that come with unexpected injury and time away from normal routines. No family should have to worry about meals, household tasks, or daily necessities while focusing on healing. As a law enforcement family, we know that when one of us is hurting, all of us feel it. We rally together. We support one another. We carry the load when someone cannot carry it alone. That is exactly what we intend to do for the Ferren family. 💙 How You Can Help 💙 🙏 Continued Prayers First and foremost, we ask for your continued prayers. Please pray for Caleb’s healing, strength, comfort, and recovery. Pray for Rocsann as she cares for her husband while balancing the many responsibilities that come with supporting a recovering loved one. We also ask that you continue praying for the other victims and families impacted by this tragedy. 🍽️ Meal Train To help ease some of the day to day stress on the family, we have organized a Meal Train. There are a couple of ways you can help: • Sign up to provide and deliver a meal • Send a restaurant or food delivery gift card Gift cards are especially helpful because they allow the family the flexibility to order meals around appointments, changing schedules, and recovery needs. 🤝 Additional Support We have also extended an offer to assist with yard work, errands, and other household needs that may arise during Caleb’s recovery. If additional opportunities become available, we will share them with those who have expressed an interest in helping. Every prayer offered, meal delivered, gift card sent, message shared, and act of kindness shown makes a difference. These gestures remind the Ferren family that they are surrounded by people who care deeply about them and are committed to walking beside them through this journey. The road to recovery may take time, but Caleb and Rocsann will not walk it alone. Thank you for helping us love on this family the same way they have loved, served, and supported so many others over the years. Let us come together as friends, coworkers, and family to remind them that they have an entire community standing behind them, praying for them, and ready to help in any way possible. May God continue to watch over Caleb, the Ferren family, and all those affected by this tragedy.
Any Meal Train gift cards purchased through the site will be automatically sent directly to Rocsann’s email, allowing the Ferren family to use them whenever and however it’s most helpful for their family.
