On March 12, 2026, the Klinners experienced an unimaginable loss. Libby’s husband, Major Alex Klinner, was killed while serving our country when his KC-135 aircraft crashed in western Iraq. Alex was a devoted husband, a loving father, and someone who lived a life of service to others. Libby and Alex were raising three young children. We’re organizing a few simple ways to support Libby and the kids in the weeks and months ahead. Because needs will likely shift week to week, we’ve tried to keep things flexible and easy. Much of this will be coordinated behind the scenes to make sure support is actually helpful and doesn’t create more to manage. Groceries & Household Essentials: Helping keep the kitchen stocked with groceries, snacks and everyday essentials is one of the most tangible ways to support right now. Needs may vary week to week, so this allows us to fill in the gaps - whether that’s a full grocery order, quick restocks or household basics. [Option A: Please send a gift card to [email protected]. A coordinator will use these to place orders as needs come up. Option B: If you sign up for a week, a coordinator will reach out with a short list or place the order directly. No need to coordinate with Libby.] Laundry Support: Laundry has a way of piling up quickly, especially with little ones. This is a simple way to take one thing off Libby’s plate. Depending on the week, this may look like wash & fold service, pickup/drop-off or coordinating a local service. If you sign up, we'll follow up with what would be most helpful that week. In many cases, this may just be covering the cost of a service. Dog Walking & Pet Care (Flexible): Helping care for the Klinner's two Golden Retrievers, Remy and Milo, can make a big difference in the day-to-day. If you sign up, a coordinator will reach out to nail down timing and details based on that day and week’s needs. Flexibility is appreciated, as timing may shift. Cleaning Support: A clean home can go a long way in creating a little breathing room. Contributions here will go toward a trusted cleaning service as needs come up.
