Maitlen's Meal Train

Sacramento, CA

Story

You all know why you're here! I'm getting my noggin opened up, and you're kind enough to check out my post-surgery meal train. I'm not sure why they're split into Lunch/Dinner -- I'm only requesting one meal/day! Please feel free to send/drop off whatever you want, whenever you want. And I sincerely apologize for the Special Notes. Love you all!!

Special Notes

I'll be honest: I’m a pain to cook for because of my food “allergies” (look up Mast Cell Activation Syndrome for a thrilling read). Gift cards are always a safe bet, although I realize much less fun. My family generally eats pretty simple (think cereal, soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta, Girl Dinners, etc.). I also don’t know how much I’m going to be eating after surgery, so no need to go wild. Good Foods! :) Beets Berries Cereal Cheese Crackers Eggs Fried rice Frozen meals (Amy’s and Good Earth are my favorite and generally safe for me to eat) Fruit snacks Minestrone/vegetable soup Nuts and seeds Olives Pasta Peanut butter Pickles/pickled foods Potatoes Quinoa Rice Salads Sourdough bread Soy milk Tofu Most vegetables (carrots, broccoli, snow peas, kale/lettuces, etc.) Examples of Restaurants I Like: Darbar Mendocino Farms Mr. Pickles/Sandwich Spot Ryujin Ramen Satori Sushi Sellands/O’BO No! to these: Gatorade/similar drinks Jell-o Meat (parents *do* eat meat) Smoothies Ok in Small Amounts / Easy to Pick Around: Beans Cabbage Cauliflower Coconut milk Dairy Garlic Mushrooms Onions Peppers/bell peppers
