Supporting the Gottschalks

Blaine, MN

Story

About a month ago, it was found that Jen had a large right-sided brain tumor. They were able to remove about 70% of it safely, and she has made incredible progress with PT, OT, and speech therapy since. She has regained a significant amount of her strength on the left side, but continues to work hard daily. It was determined that this type of tumor is a stage 4 glioblastoma with no cure. She starts radiation and oral chemo next week. Special Notes

Anything helps and is so appreciated - but here are some recommendations if you're able and willing to contribute! -Homemade dishes: She loves a classic meat and veggies meal (green beans/asparagus are her favorite). They are also open to trying new and different things and will be grateful no matter what. The only specific request is no soup, please! -Delivery/food gift cards: If you would prefer not to cook but want to send them a hot meal, to-go meals are also appreciated! And there is an option to get them a doordash giftcard so they can order it themselves if you prefer that! -Gift Cards: There are multiple kinds of gift cards that you can gift to the family. Target and Visa would be helpful for Mikey and Kyra when they are going grocery shopping and for other necessities. -Amazon: We have her wish list connected to this site, and it will be posted on the Caring Bridge! There is also an option to send them an amazon giftcard, which will also be incredibly helpful. Even if you aren't able to contribute to the meal train or gift cards, please know that all the support, love, and words of encouragement mean more than anything else, and we are all so appreciative.
