Story
Life's journey often takes unexpected turns, and for many, the road has been particularly challenging since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. When the lockdowns hit, we were traveling workers with everything we needed on the road—our RV and our loyal dog, Gator, right by our side. But like many, the pandemic toppled our world. We lost our jobs, our home, our sense of stability, and eventually, each other, only to reunite due to circumstance, not truly ever finding a way to heal or move forward. In the face of these challenges, we have never lost sight of kindness and loyalty, especially to those who needed it most. Helping our elderly friend at the campground was about giving back, about respect, despite our personal hardships. Even when life continued to test us, when betrayal seemed to echo louder than hope, we held onto the belief that great love and goodness exist in the simplest of acts. Today, as this chapter unfolds, we stand at a crossroads, seeking stability and a fresh start—a small place to call home for me and Gator, with space for us to breathe and heal. My health challenges have been daunting, but the love and loyalty of Gator, with his ever-wagging tail, have been a constant comfort, a reminder of the loyalty I strive to mirror. We are reaching out to those who can recognize the heart in our story—the resilience despite the odds stacked against us. Your support could light our path towards a brighter tomorrow. By contributing to our fundraising campaign, you can help us secure a new camper or small home where Gator can run freely, and where we can finally find peace and stability. Every little bit helps. Whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or sending a kind word our way, your support could make all the difference. Together, let's prove that kindness and community can rebuild what we thought was lost. Help us stand with Gator, in a place we can truly call home. Please I’m emotionally and mentally abused. I feel like I’m going crazy I’m confused and don’t want to step out. I’m scared. I just want get away from this type environment it’s been a hard 15+ yrs with this I’m down to a old camper living in it and no car he wrecked mine and he’s got one. He knows I don’t have anyone and throws it in my face. I don’t know what to do but pray Gator and I can start over. He’s all I got and he’s already telling me if I get out of here I won’t take him with me. I just need a start. We are living in a 1997 camper that’s about on it’s last leg if I can sell it that would help to find a car .
