💛 Meals & Support for Sharon & Malorie I don’t even know how to put this into words. On April 13, my mom Sharon and my sister Malorie lost their home in a house fire. They got out safe, and their dog and cats made it out too. But even with insurance working in their favor, what they are walking through right now is exhausting and emotional and just really, really hard. They have loss of use coverage which is helping with temporary housing and some expenses, but the process is slow and there are so many moving pieces. They are dealing with investigators, adjusters, and a mountain of decisions while trying to function without most of their basic belongings. On top of everything else, getting around has become a real challenge. Malorie lost her car in the fire and The car my mom was borrowing. My mom’s car was in the shop when it happened — truly a blessing that it was spared — but it’s not back yet. Until the car situation gets sorted out, both of them are struggling to get to work and handle everyday errands. They can get rides when needed but coordinating that on top of everything else they are managing is its own kind of exhausting. Every day without reliable transportation is another obstacle between them and getting back on their feet. While insurance covers a lot, there are still gaps — and more than anything, the love and support of the people around them goes further than any policy ever could. That’s where you come in. Here’s how you can help: 🍽️ Sign up for a meal slot below. After a long day of phone calls, paperwork, and decisions, having a meal taken care of is one less thing to worry about. A hot meal dropped off or even a gift card so they can grab something easy means so much. 🚗 Rides are a huge help right now. If you are local and have some flexibility, offering to drive them to an appointment, run an errand, or get to work would be an incredible gift while they wait on the car situation to be resolved. 👗 Clothing donations are genuinely needed. They lost their wardrobes and are building back from scratch. Any gently used or new clothing, shoes, or everyday essentials are welcome. Reach out to me directly to coordinate a drop-off. 🐾 Their pets made it out safely but also need some love. Donations of dog or cat food, a leash, or any pet supplies are appreciated more than you know. 🎁 Gift cards help fill in the gaps insurance doesn’t cover. Any amount helps.
