Friends Don't Let April Cook

Story

In mid-April 2026, I was diagnosed with Stage 1A invasive ductal breast cancer. The good news is that we caught it early and my prognosis is very good. The less exciting news is that cancer clearly underestimated who it was dealing with. Here's the game plan: 🏥 Surgery (June 9) ⬇️ 4 weeks recovery 💉 Chemotherapy begins - (4 treatments, 3 weeks apart) ⬇️ 4 weeks recovery ☢️ Radiation begins - (4 weeks, 5 days each week) 🎉 Hoping to be finished up before Thanksgiving! #CancerIsMyBitchIn2026 If you know me, you know I'm not planning to sit around feeling sorry for myself. Life keeps moving. Skylar 🤸‍♀️ still has gymnastics, Jeremy 💞 and I still have a family to care for, and we're going to keep showing up and doing our best to keep life moving forward. I'm grateful that friends have already stepped up to help, including the creation of Skylar 🤸‍♀️'s Transportation Team to help with gymnastics and school transportation during treatment. That said, this treatment plan is no joke. Having practical support in place creates the space for me to rest, recover, and focus my energy where it belongs. Thank you for helping lighten the load. Your kindness, encouragement, and generosity mean more than you know. #CancerIsMyBitchIn2026

Special Notes

No food allergies! Jeremy 💞 and Skylar 🤸‍♀️ can be a little picky, but don't overthink it. Cook what you love or send what sounds good. If they turn up their noses, never fear—Autumn 🥰, Ariel, and I have it covered. 😄
