Ashlie's Village: Updates, Support & Ways to Help

Hedgesville, WV

W
Story

On May 26, 2026, our world changed when Ashlie was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a very aggressive form of breast cancer. Ashlie is a devoted wife, an incredible mother to her two children—Will (5) and Abbie (7)— and dog mom to Bella. She is the kind of person who is always the first to show up for others. Now, she is facing one of the biggest challenges of her life, and we are creating this page to help surround her and her family with the same love and support she has given so many others. The coming months will include appointments, treatments, surgeries, recovery, and countless unknowns. While Ashlie is determined to fight with everything she has, cancer affects more than just one person—it impacts the entire family. Between managing treatments, caring for Will and Abbie, and navigating day-to-day responsibilities, there will be many opportunities for friends and loved ones to help lighten the load. This page will serve as a central place for updates, prayer requests, and ways to support the family. Whether it's providing a meal, helping with transportation, dog sitting, sending a gift card, financial support, assisting with childcare, or simply offering words of encouragement, every act of kindness makes a difference. Most of all, we ask for your prayers, positive thoughts, and support as Ashlie begins this journey. We know there will be difficult days ahead, but we also know that no one fights alone when they are surrounded by a caring community. Thank you for walking alongside Ashlie, Cody, Will, and Abbie during this time. Your love, generosity, and encouragement mean more than words can express. With gratitude, Team Ashlie

Special Notes

To help Ashlie focus on her health and spend as much quality time as possible with Cody, Will, and Abbie, we kindly ask that friends and family check this page for updates rather than reaching out with questions individually. If there is an urgent need for information, please contact her sister, Corrie Franz (540-532-7281). That said, messages of love, encouragement, prayers, and support are always welcome and appreciated directly to Ashlie. Your kindness and uplifting words mean so much to Ashlie and her family during this time. No sick visitors, thank you!
