On June 19th, Karissa and her husband were involved in a severe motorcycle accident. Karissa sustained serious injuries, including:    •   Three broken ribs    •   A collapsed lung    •   A broken and crushed toe    •   Severe road rash    •   Head trauma requiring staples She remains in the hospital under constant medical care due to ongoing complications. Her husband also suffered severe road rash injuries, but thankfully he is able to stay by her side in the hospital. Their children are currently being cared for by family members, allowing them to focus on recovery — but the emotional and logistical challenges are significant. Karissa has a long road to recovery ahead. She will be unable to climb stairs or care for herself once home, and she will also be unable to return to work as a professional groomer for an undetermined amount of time. Grooming requires long hours of standing, bending, and lifting — all of which are currently impossible for her. This has already caused a significant financial burden for their family.
