Help Support the Russo Family

Meriden, CT

Story

As many of you may already know, the Russos have had a significant curve ball thrown their way. What began last week with Phil's unexpected trip to the ER with multiple strokes, led to a transfer to Hartford hospital with a diagnosis of endocarditis and open heart surgery scheduled for January 27th. Phil is the sole source of income for the Russo family, and his work is quite physical. It may be some time before he is able to return to work. I am sure you are wondering, how can I help? Monetary gifts sent through Venmo and GoFundMe would be most helpful. (see the supported links) If you would like to make food for them, be aware they have allergies so extreme diligence in choosing ingredients is of utmost importance. Please view "special notes." * Please leave food in blue cooler on their porch, please.”

Special Notes

For those interested in making food for the Russos: The Russos have food allergies and this can be difficult. If you are not comfortable cooking allergen-free food, specifically gluten and dairy free, we encourage you to explore other options. We don't mean to discourage, but it can be tricky. For instance, there may be gluten/dairy in sauces, cereals, crackers, and even things like prepared chicken. There is a list of *wheat and dairy foods to be avoided* in the updates section.
