Supporting Angie Through Her Journey with Scleroderma

Liberty Twp, OH

Story

Our dear friend Angie has recently been diagnosed with systemic scleroderma, a chronic illness that affects her whole body. This condition brings a range of challenging symptoms — including fatigue, muscle weakness, skin changes, and more — that can make even everyday tasks exhausting. Through it all, Angie continues to face each day with courage and grace. Now, it’s our turn to surround her with the love and support she deserves. This GiveInKind page is here to show Angie what community truly looks like — a circle of care that lifts her up when she needs it most. Here’s how you can help: Meals: Nutritious, ready‑to‑eat dishes to ease the burden of cooking. Transportation: Rides to and from doctor’s appointments so she can focus on her health. Light Housekeeping: Simple tasks like vacuuming (she loves those fresh carpet lines!) to keep her home feeling comfortable. Social Visits: A friendly face to share a cup of tea, a laugh, or just a listening ear. Every act of kindness — big or small — makes a difference. Whether you can drop off dinner, offer a ride, tidy up, or simply stop by to say hello, your support will help Angie feel cared for and less alone in this journey. Thank you for being part of Angie’s team. Together, we can make her days a little brighter and her load a little lighter.

Special Notes

Meals: Please plan for two servings — for Angie and her loving, supportive husband Percy (he’s an okay chef, but let’s give him a break!). Angie enjoys a variety of cuisines and is open to any food that nourishes the body and soul. Allergies: Angie is allergic to shellfish, so please avoid any shellfish ingredients in meals or snacks. Meal Drop‑Off: Meals can be dropped off any time — just let Percy or Angie know when you plan to come by. Transportation: If you’re providing a ride, Angie may need a little extra support getting in and out of the car or walking into the building. Home Comfort: Angie gets cold easily (brr!), so the house may be a little warmer than you’re used to — dress in light layers if visiting.
