Please help as you can for Dales and Patti as Dales navigates cancer treatments. Dales and Patti met on a blind date (ish) on May 22, 2017 at Russell's Deli. We were a Match.com couple. We dated only on weekends and shared our first kiss on our 1 month date, and married on the 4th anniversary of our first date. Dales proposed after he survived Covid-19 and Snow-Maggedon with Patti's miracle helping hands and organic garden. He promised Patti that he would give her 15 good years together. Dales inspired the ##travelingllamacorn, ##magicaltravelingcompanion, and ##havellamacornwilltravel, Patti's occasional photo journal of their shared adventures in traveling and visiting friends and family. Dales has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer. He is scheduled for surgery to install a chemo port on July 6th, and a base PET scan on July 8th. Patti is zealously holding him to his commitment for 15 years. He has 10 years left on this contract. Let's hold him to it!
Dales and I will eat anything, lol, except liver! Dales cannot eat more than a pinch of chili spices, but black pepper is OK. I grew up in New Orleans, so I'm a fire breather. Max has an Autistic trait called ARFID = Avoidant/Resistant Food Intake Disorder. Ots not picky eating, this is worse. He prefers to eat food he can re ignite and predict the flavor of. This means little to zero sauces for flavor, foods can't be mixed up to hide flavors (meatloaf is bad, but hamburgers are good), and veggies are better crunchy (exceptions are beans, kale, potatoes, corn). Salads get zero dressing on top, fish is baked plain, cheese is Swiss or mozzarella, chili spice is zero. The only good spices are salt, pepper, and garlic and turmeric. There are no food allergies.
