My name is Ruth Cooper, and I never imagined I would have to ask for help like this. After losing my job, I fell behind financially and eventually lost my home. Losing my job was already frightening, but losing the place where I felt safe and secure has been heartbreaking. I’m now facing the reality of trying to rebuild my life without a home to return to. I’m doing everything I can to move forward, but getting back into stable housing requires more money than I can manage on my own right now. I’m asking for help raising enough to secure a new place to live and cover the immediate costs that come with starting over. Any amount would mean so much to me. A donation could help me take one step closer to having a door I can call my own again. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing my fundraiser would still make a tremendous difference. I’m not asking for an easy way out. I’m asking for a chance to get back on my feet and have a safe, stable place to begin rebuilding my life.
