My name is Herschell Chad Michel. I am a 56-year-old man from Louisiana fighting multiple serious medical conditions that have slowly taken away my ability to live and function normally. Over the past several years, my health has declined to the point where I now suffer from: Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) High Blood Pressure (HTN) High Cholesterol (HLD) Severe arthritis Cervical and lumbar radiculopathy (nerve damage in my neck and lower back) Recurrent syncope episodes where I pass out and fall without warning Epileptic seizures Lower extremity weakness and numbness confirmed by EMG nerve testing Chronic fatigue, dizziness, and bradycardia (very low heart rate) Loss of strength and balance that causes frequent falls I live every day not knowing whether I will pass out, have a seizure, or collapse from weakness. This can happen while I am sitting, standing, or walking. I have fallen multiple times because of this. It has made it impossible for me to work, drive safely, or live independently without serious risk. Doctors have documented nerve damage in my spine and legs, heart disease, blood pressure problems, and now seizure activity. Despite ongoing medical care, my condition continues to worsen, and I require constant monitoring, medications, specialist visits, and testing just to manage daily life safely. Because of these conditions, I am now struggling financially. Medical bills, prescriptions, transportation to doctors, and basic living expenses are overwhelming me. I am asking for help so I can: Continue seeing my heart, nerve, and neurological specialists Afford seizure medications and testing Pay for medications and medical monitoring Cover transportation to appointments Maintain safe housing and basic needs while unable to work Prevent further injury from seizures, fainting episodes, and falls These are not temporary problems. These are documented medical conditions that have permanently changed my life and made it unsafe for me to function normally.
