Together for Toni

W
Story

A Little About Toni 🩷 Four and a half years after her original breast cancer diagnosis, Toni is facing breast cancer again. Thankfully, scans have shown no evidence that the cancer has spread, and surgery brought more good news: clear margins and negative lymph nodes. What comes next is a little more complicated. Toni’s case is unusual, and her doctors at Duke are working to determine the best chemotherapy and HER2-targeted treatment plan. She is also traveling to New York City for a second opinion at Memorial Sloan Kettering as she and her family navigate the road ahead. Through all of the appointments, decisions, travel, treatment, and uncertainty, we want Toni to feel just how many people are standing beside her. So many people have asked how they can help, and that’s why we created this page. Whether it’s a meal on a long treatment day, a gift card that makes everyday life a little easier, help with travel expenses, or simply a message reminding Toni how loved she is, it all matters. There is absolutely no expectation to give. This is simply a place for Toni’s village to do what villages do best: show up. 🩷
