Meal Train - Assisting the Allisons

Harrisburg, PA

Story

Jim and Joanne Allison recently lost their home where they have lived for almost 50 years to a fire. They are both over the age of 75 and are struggling with navigating their loss. Between phone calls to the insurance company, working with contractors to repair/rebuild their house, etc., they are finding themselves exhausted at the end of the day and are struggling to find the energy to cook dinner for themselves in the evenings.

Special Notes

Jim and Joanne do not have any known food allergies. Meals will be delivered to a relative's (Joanne's brother and sister-in-law) house who will see that the meals are delivered to Jim and Joanne. Jim and Joanne have access to a microwave, stove, and oven to heat/reheat meals.
