Story

I'm one of the folks that spent a lot of energy and late nights making RTP happen this summer, and now I'm being vulnerable and askin for your help <3 My top surgery REDO is Sept 22nd. I need masked comrades to come check on me (at our home in North Montavilla) the 24th- oct 13th, and help with some medical, chore and social support tasks. If you don't already, please mask around others and in public for the week before coming to care for me and take a COVID test. Please use the ordering form below if you need help accessing tests! https://bit.ly/freecovidtestspdx "Shifts" will be on the Care Calendar at the bottom. I need at least 1 person to show up within that time slot, and preferably stay for 1hr+. The task list under Special Notes! My biggest concern for recovery is my mental health- I've already not been doing well emotionally. Im disabled and very familiar with how bad isolation is on my health. My other concerns are ensuring my cat is well cared for, and that I don't push myself too hard. Since my needed care will be based on how recovery goes, this page is where I'll share updates about my health. There is Dietary and Allergy info below as well.

Special Notes

Tasks you do while you're over are up to your ability! Week one is really when it's most important that I have at least 1 person a day who can help with medical stuff. At the 3 week mark the supports will start to focus more heavily on my mental and emotional well being, and helping me access community. TASK LIST Week one only: Daily wound care, support measuring drains. Week 1-2: Daily Necessity: Emotional wellness check in, scooping litterbox Daily If able/ time: Meal prep/cooking, help in room tasks, company/ body doubling Every other day: Dishes, sweeping, taking out compost Weekly Necessity: Taking out trash/recycle, vacuuming, washing cat fountain Week 3-4: Daily Necessity: Emotional wellness check in by phone or in person 2x a week Necessity: Community or neighborhood outings, body doubling ALLERGY & DIETARY INFO I'm allergic to dairy, pumpkin, mango, red onion and cardamom, and I don't eat beef or pork. I have IBS and beans besides soy are hard to digest. Yellow/white onion can bother- when I cook I use half of what recipe calls for. My tummy likes tofu, egg, fish and occasionally poultry based proteins, and I love a veg & fruit heavy diet. I love most veggies besides Cauliflower, and fruit besides honeydew melon and mango. I enjoy trying new foods. I gravitate towards soups and curries, stirfry bases, or when it's hot out, salads and fish. My body does poorly with 🔥 spices, but lighter spices in small amounts (white pepper, cumin, paprika, ginger) are great! I live with my gf and housemate, so all meals will certainly be eaten! I love cooking WITH people and cooking new things, and would love if people coming over in weeks 3-4 connected with me about new meals they want to cook together! WISHLIST: Pregnancy pillow Under the bed storage Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Aqueeriuswizard on Discord, email [email protected] or message rowdyruff.69 on signal!
