Surrounding Ashlee & Her Girls With Love

Salisbury, MD

W
Story

Hey! I'm Yolanda! Ashlee's bestie! Every time I checked on my girl I always ask her 'Have yall ate yet?' What else is there really to say? My bestie is dealing with such an unexpected loss that is sooooo complex to even navigate. I just knew I had to step up in some way to support her and her girls... Ashlee is a loving mother to three beautiful girls—Ariyah, Chloe, and Carys—and a Registered Nurse who spends her days caring for others. Right now, she and her girls are facing a loss that no family should have to navigate: the passing of the girls' father, Clark Cordell. The girls will remember him as a loving father! He will be deeply missed and forever remembered through the love he gave and the memories he left behind. May Clark rest peacefully, and may his love live on through his children and everyone who knew him. And although Ashlee and Clark were no longer married-- she is STILL grieving the loss of someone she spent over 18+ years with while also trying to be strong for three young girls who are grieving their Dad. She is carrying the emotional weight of comforting her girls' grieving process while continuing to work, parent, and somehow keep everyday life moving. During a time when even the simplest things can feel overwhelming, we want to give her one less thing to think about. This Meal Train is simply our way of loving on Ashlee and her girls and reminding them that they don't have to get through this season alone. Whether you knew Ashlee from Wicomico High School or Howard University, grew up in the Salisbury community, worked alongside her, or simply feel moved to help, this is an opportunity to show up in a very real way. We all know how stressful it is deciding what we are cooking for dinner every night; especially when everyone wants something different. We know how tedious it is when we have to run to the grocery store because you have cereal and NO MILK! Let's take this burden off the girls for awhile. A meal, groceries, restaurant gift card, or contribution toward meals (CASHAPP: $AshleeNoire) can provide comfort and take one major responsibility off Ashlee and Ariyah's plate. We all know that life has a way of bringing us back together when one of our own needs us, and this is one of those moments. Let's show Ashlee and her girls what community, compassion, and a little WiHi alumni spirit still look like all these years later. Thank you!

Special Notes

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Every meal, every contribution, every share, and every kind gesture means more than you know. Your generosity is helping carry a beautiful family through a moment they never expected to face. We pray that God blesses you abundantly—tenfold—for the love you’ve shown and the kindness you’ve extended. Thank you for being part of their village and reminding them that they are surrounded by people who care.
