A Little Help with Meals for Mom Our family would be so grateful for a little extra help during this time. My mom is recovering from her fourth surgery since July following a knee replacement infection, and we are focusing on helping her rest, heal, and regain her strength. Having some help with daily meals would make a tremendous difference for both of us during her recovery. We are hoping to arrange lunch meal deliveries for two people. Home-cooked meals or healthy, ready-to-eat options are equally appreciated! Some ideas include baked or tender proteins, vegetables, mashed or baked potatoes, stews, pasta (no red sauce), and other comforting, balanced meals that are gentle and easy to eat. Some favorite spots that deliver down South via Uber Eats: Islas Canarias, Bonefish Grill, Marino’s Italian Restaurant, Havana Harry’s. Delivery instructions: Address: 12801 SW 188 Street, Miami, FL 33177. Access: The home is gated so please put Christy’s cell phone (786) 877-9640 so the delivery person can call when nearby, and she’ll open. Delivery time: 12:00-12:30PM We know everyone has busy schedules, and any contribution, whether it’s a home-cooked meal, a prepared dish, or a meal delivery, would mean so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and support.

Special Notes

Because my mom has diverticulosis and Barrett’s esophagus, she has some dietary restrictions. We are looking for meals that are nutritious, and easy to chew and digest. Please avoid spicy foods, raw vegetables and other raw foods, and anything particularly tough, hard, or difficult to chew. Softer, well-cooked foods are best. We would also appreciate meals that are on the healthier side and not overly greasy or heavy.
