Let’s Support Victoria & Jackson!

Please join me in helping Victoria & Jackson through these difficult times they are enduring. As some of you know, our good friend, Victoria was diagnosed with both cervical cancer and skin cancer in 2023. It’s been a long, hard battle. You can read more specifics about her journey last year here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/victoria-olson?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer Unfortunately, this year Victoria’s cancer has metastasized to her chest lymph nodes and is pushing against her esophagus. She is currently only a few weeks into undergoing her second round of chemotherapy and radiation. This round of treatment is much more difficult on her body than the first round. The chest radiation leaves her with intense pain, burning, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, nauseousness, light headedness and lethargic. Even the smallest tasks are extremely difficult for her at this time. Victoria’s mom is still in the hospital after 15 months. She hasn’t been home since April 4th, 2023. Victoria has always tried to have dinner with her mom at the hospital most evenings, but this round of treatment has made it harder for her to drive, and harder for her to make regular visits. Victoria is still working part time during treatment (I don’t know how!) and trying to keep her son, Jackson, busy during the summer with camps. As the weeks go on, Victoria would to have help taking Jackson for play dates and overnights. Also, any help with driving him to and from his daily camp would also be appreciated. It’s hard for Victoria to get up and out the door feeling so awful and drained. It would be a huge help if anyone could help out with dinners over the next couple of months while Victoria goes through her treatments. Ideally, meal assistance would be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for the next two months. 6 pm drop off. (A cooler will be on her front porch for easy no contact drop off.) We understand that life is busy, and sometimes it’s hard to find time to cook. If it is easier to provide a gift card, that would be extremely helpful as well. Good options are Door Dash, Instacart, Target, Starbucks, or Amazon. Victoria also has Venmo @Victoria-Olson-11 if you’d prefer to send her a few bucks to help out that way. Victoria is a great friend, and a dedicated Mama, and it would be amazing if we can rally around her and Jackson while she kicks cancer’s a**! She has enough to worry about with chemo / radiation logistics, medical bills, work, getting Jackson taken care of, etc. I would love to ease her stress by providing meals and assistance so she can spend more time focused on her healing ✨ Victoria will be most grateful for any help.
