Heather Hufford, the cherished mother of our dear friend Danielle Darrigo, was rushed to the hospital on October 21st due to dangerously low oxygen levels. After a 12-day stay and extensive testing, Heather received the difficult diagnosis of end-stage COPD and an invasive cancer in the lungs. She is now home, surrounded by love, and receiving hospice care with Danielle and her father by her side. Heather’s homecoming has brought comfort and peace, but it also requires constant care. Danielle and her father have stepped fully into the role of caregivers—an act of devotion, tenderness, and strength. They are giving Heather the gift of dignity, closeness, and care in the place she feels safest. As you can imagine, this journey brings emotional and financial challenges. Your support will help lift some of that weight—allowing Danielle and her father to focus on what matters most: being present with Heather. It will also help them take steps toward healing when this chapter transitions to the next. Thank you, from the depths of our hearts, for your compassion, your generosity, and your love. Your kindness is truly felt.
