On the night of 21 June 2025, Natasha and I met to join a friend’s birthday party already in progress at Blue Martini Phoenix, 5455 E High Street #101, Phoenix, AZ 85054. We both arrived around 930pm. After meeting with our friends, we found a place to stand on the upper level behind the bar, at a high-top table against the wall to the right near the ramped walkway that leads to their back door. My guess is within about the first hour or so of our arrival, I left Natasha at the table to “take a lap” and when I returned there was a huddle of people at our table looking down. As I got closer to see what they were looking at, Natasha was on the ground face down in what I would describe as a “child’s pose” position and there was a man down on the ground in front of her. I started asking what happened and various people told me, a man (Subject A) shoved another man, (Subject B- his name and phone number was later taken by Blue Martini GM) who was thrown into Natasha knocking her down. When she was situated, I ran to get our friend david. When I got back the GM was standing with her trying to take care of her and had ordered her staff to call 911EMT go there, took her out on a gurney. After assessing her out back in the ambo, they decided to take her to Mayo. Even though she had a slight abrasion on her ear and on her skull behind it, they decided they didn't need to look at head or neck injuries. Her left leg was the most painful, and so they gave her some morphine to prep her for x rays. An ortho doc came in with the ED doc then started asking her questions about a previous surgery on her right hip. (Mind you, as of 2 weeks ago her mums health began suddenly failing and she had to book an unplanned flight to England for today MON/06/23/25) Since she could tell what the doctor was implying. She asked him if she was going to have surgery, and he said, yes. She was speechless and in shock, and I could see her "motor running", knowing she had this trip to see her mum, so I asked, "Like right now?!?!" hopelessly wondering if it could be put off until after she visits her mother. And he said, "Well yeah. Tomorrow morning" (being Sunday). Once she was assessed in the Mayo Hospital ED and it was determined she would need to be admitted for surgery, I returned to High Street so I could retrieve her vehicle and take it to hospital premises for her. When I did it was now about 135 am; I decided to again make contact with the Blue Martini GM, to give her an update. When I got back to the hospital with her car, she was now in her assigned room. I sat with her while we talked about what the morning would look like. Carrie B works at Mayo and has been a great help. Carrie and I were able to get the information so that we could be there with her before she went into surgery Sunday morning (06/22/25). Her daughter was on the graveyard shift, and so later, in the afternoon, when Natasha was post-op, her daughter went to stay with her.
