Story

Hi my name is Julia and this year has definitely been a whirlwind for me. In November, my elderly and partially disabled parents and I faced eviction, so my sister offered to let me come live with her in Florida. Everything is going great, I have a place to live and a steady job, what more could I ask for? Come January, my mom calls me and tells me that she fell out of bed and broke her leg so they admitted her to the hospital. She has severe arthritis which makes it hard for her to walk in the first place, so she usually sits in a walker and scoots around. Since my dad has really bad dementia and can't be left alone they agreed to let him stay with her in the hospital for a bit until she called me panicked to say that they are going to just release him onto the street because his insurance won't cover his hospital stay anymore. My mom was working from home prior to breaking her leg as that's all she could do to survive in this world but with an unverified extended stay at the hospital it wasn't possible for her to work anymore. She caught a lucky break by being able to sell my dad's vintage car so that they could at least keep themselves afloat for a while. Anyway, she asked me if I would be able to come back out to Vegas to help take care of my dad at home while she is recovering in the hospital and I agreed because they don't have anyone else to be there for them as my siblings don't talk to them anymore as well as a lot of our other family. What we thought would be a few weeks stay in the hospital has now turned into half a year in the hospital. I tried as best I could with caring for my father but his dementia was so bad that I couldn't handle it on my own so he ended up going to a care facility himself. Now with both of my parents in the hospital and money from the car running out I had to find a source of income to keep myself afloat to be able to have a place for my mom when she gets out. Or so I thought. My mom called me last week to let me know that they are ready to put her into a long term care facility in August and she agreed because she won't have a place to live if she were to leave the hospital. So now that I've given up everything to come back out here to help my parents, it seems they've given up on me as well. I've applied virtually everywhere you could think of that would hire me and if it isn't just immediate rejection, it's ghosting, or I'll get an interview, think it went really well, and then get ghosted anyway. My daughter, my dogs and I have moved into a room in this wonderful lady's house where she has been kind enough to work with me a little bit with the rent but this month I have truly tapped out all of my resources and do not know how I am going to get her any of the rent when I keep getting job interviews that lead to nothing. I've tried donating plasma before but for some unknown reason I faint every single time no matter how much food/water I eat or drink in the day, the weather etc. It's to the point that I don't think they will even accept me anymore. I've struggled a lot with mental health all my life so this situation I've found myself in has made me want to just give up on numerous occasions but I still try to keep faith that things will work out. Sometimes I just need a little help. I've been trying to find any way to make money online that I can while still applying at every job I can in the hopes that someone will take a chance on me. I've managed to make a little money but I am still $700 short on my rent. I just need a miracle at this point if not for me then for my daughter who doesn't deserve any of this.
