Teresa’s Place is named in honor of a beloved young woman of trans experience who lived with HIV/AIDS. She came to us with no housing options and lived with dignity at SAVE, Inc. until her passing in 1992. We are proud to remember her as we continue services for vulnerable young adults, especially those discriminated against in the LGBTQAI+ community. Today, with the same passion for lifelong and dignified housing, we set young adults on a trajectory that wasn’t available to Teresa. Visit the memorial garden outside Teresa’s place to honor her legacy of courage and strength.
