My older dog was seriously injured from a fight with a much younger, bigger, vicious natured dog. The injury is to his throat and neck and it's life-threatening. Time is of the essence because he's fading right before my eyes and I don't get paid until the first of the month. I live in Danville Illinois and the nearest animal hospital that's open 24/7 is in Urbana Illinois. I ran out of options and I don't know anyone in Illinois. Moved here from California a year ago. I'm unable to have children and this dog is the closest thing I'll ever have to a child. Both parents are deceased and he's my everything. I feel so helpless and am desperate to get him help before it's too late. I might be able to get a ride there if I could come up with the gas to get there but I don't have a dollar to my name to pay to get him seen. If anyone has a heart for animals and is willing to help me save my dog's life. I'll be more grateful than words could ever ever express.!! The fight happened 3 hours ago and he's fading fast. Immediately after it happened, I literally ran 3 miles (in rain pouring down so hard my shoes filled up w water completely) to the Danville animal clinic only to find it closed Sundays in rain pouring down so hard my shoes were completely filled to the brim w water. As I walked back defeated and looking like a lunatic, bawling my eyes out hysterically a nice lady stopped and gave me a ride back to my house. But she was on her way to work.
