Support for my family and I during Aunt Sherry’s treatment and recovery at home.

Story

Aunt Sherry was admitted to Houston Methodist Baytown on Sunday, August 31st because she has cellulitis on her upper right thigh that became seriously infected. Unfortunately, the iv antibiotics are not working like they had hoped. So, she had a pic line inserted on Thursday, September 4th. They sent an infusion team to teach me how to administer the iv antibiotics and how to flush the line from home once discharged. Due to congestive heart failure and her heart beating too fast they are keeping her for further observation. Once home, skilled nursing services will begin and last for approximately 2 weeks. She will need 24-7 care during that time. That responsibility will be solely provided by me with the exception of a few hours per day that our provider services caregiver will assist us. So, with my current tutoring assignments I will need as much help as I can get during this time. If you could help us with providing meals for dinners during the week and lunch and dinner on the weekends it would be greatly be greatly appreciated.

Special Notes

We are a family of 4 adults.
