Meal Train for Barb & Alan

Chapel Hill, NC

W
Story

Hi friends, As you know, our dear friend Barbara is recovering from a collapsed vertebra. It has been a long, slow, and painful process that has already stretched over several weeks, with several more still ahead. Alan has been a true trooper throughout it all, and Marissa and Mallory have been providing wonderful support as well. While Barb and Alan continue to demonstrate remarkable strength and positivity, this journey is understandably taking its toll. The weeks ahead include multiple physical therapy, doctor, and pain management appointments. To help lighten their load, I've created this meal train. My hope is that we can provide two meals each week—one on Monday and one on Wednesday—for four weeks, beginning the week of July 20. Marissa and Mallory are covering meals during the week of July 13. If you're able to sign up for a meal, I know it will mean so much to Barb and Alan. Every meal is one less thing they have to think about and a tangible reminder that they are surrounded by people who love and care for them. Gratefully, Renée

Special Notes

Barb and Alan need meals that are gluten and dairy free. They also do not eat beef or pork - only fish or poultry. If at all possible, please provide meals in containers that can be recycled or disposed of. Afternoon deliveries are preferable but if that isn't possible for you, I will help you with arrangements for drop off.
