Love & Support post spinal surgery for Jeffery & Carolyn

Brooklyn, NY

Story

Jeffrey and Carolyn are pillars of our movement community. As teachers, artists, and dedicated practitioners, they have spent years helping others grow stronger, braver, and more connected to their bodies. Through martial arts and aerial movement, they’ve created a space where people feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Right now, they need that same support from all of us. Jeffrey will soon undergo a major spinal surgery that will require a long and careful recovery. During this time, he will not be able to move his spine and will need significant assistance with daily tasks while his body heals. Carolyn, who many of us know as an incredible lyra and movement teacher, will be stepping fully into the role of caregiver while continuing to navigate the emotional and physical demands that come with supporting a loved one through recovery. For a while, their focus will need to be entirely on healing and caregiving. That’s where our community comes in. We are organizing a meal train to help take one important task off their plates. By providing meals, we can ensure they have nourishing food and one less thing to worry about during this intense period. Whether you’re able to cook a meal, send takeout, or contribute in another way, every bit of support will help them focus on what matters most right now—recovery, rest, and care. Jeffrey and Carolyn have given so much to this community over the years. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. If you’re able, please consider signing up to bring a meal or contributing to the meal fund. Your kindness, encouragement, and support mean more than you know. Thank you for helping us surround them with the same strength and care they have always offered to others.
