Story
The below was written by Peyton Whitton. Peyton is Kim and Kris' youngest daughter. She is in her senior year at Stratford and will be going to college in the Fall. Since the day we were born, my parents have always done their absolute best to provide for my sisters and I. They have sacrificed more than the ordinary to give us the life we are so very blessed to call our own. With consistently putting our needs above their own, we cannot help but be the most grateful. Unfortunately, the father my sisters and I view as such a pillar of strength and unwavering support for our family has been diagnosed with cancer. More specifically, he was diagnosed with malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors. This is a rare and aggressive type of cancer which forms in the nervous system. My father is the absolute greatest man I know. From cooking us comfort meals in times of discomfort, leading us back to the Lord when our hands are shaking, and always knowing exactly what to say in any situation, I cannot emphasize enough how great he truly is. Kris Whitton is the best dad in the entire world. I could say with absolute certainty that anyone who knows him feels the same. This next year of my family’s life is going to be full of obstacles and change. I am going to soon graduate from high school, and embark on the new chapter that going to college will bring. My middle sister Emma will enter her junior year of college at TWU, where she’s continuing to pursue psychology and pre law, and my oldest sister Kerri is accomplishing so much at Queensbury Theater. Our dad deserves a front row seat to our life, and we want him to be able to enjoy it without being overwhelmed by financial stress. Now, being raised with such selfless parents, my sisters and I want the chance to support them for a change. We want to take some weight off of this heavy diagnosis, so we can push through all the obstacles with some of the stress of costs taken off our plate. If you are able, and willing, any amount would be greatly appreciated. All funds will go towards my Dad's medical expenses and or anywhere else it's needed to support our family. As scary and overwhelming as this is, we have faith in God to pave my father's path and give him the strength to make it through the next steps. Every single donation, no matter the size, can and will make a difference. We thank every single one of you for your help. Gofund me link below: https://gofund.me/b4b2aef8
