Carolyn's Post-Op Support Squad

Story

Carolyn's Journey: Carolyn is deeply thankful for the overwhelming support and prayers from her church family as she prepares for spine surgery on Wednesday, May 27th. This journey has seen many shifts, but she is choosing to see it as a 'God story' in the making. While she initially hoped for a specific surgical team arrangement, she has peace knowing that God’s guidance is over the entire medical team, including the surgeons-in-training who will be involved. Her prayer remains that God would direct the surgeons’ hands and use this season to glorify Him. As Carolyn moves into recovery, a little extra help will go a long way in lightening the load. She lives in the 80905 area of Colorado Springs. Meal Support: We're looking to coordinate two meals per week for one month, starting the first week of June. She enjoys a variety of flavors, whether plain or spicy, though she is not a fan of fish. Looking Ahead: In late June, Carolyn may reach out for extra help at home as she continues to heal. Thank you for standing with her, for your prayers, and for being such a vital part of her community. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

Special Notes

"I am on a sodium-restricted diet. I try to limit (emphasis on "try"!) sodium to ~500mg total per meal. It's not just a matter of not adding salt to the food. For example, I use unsalted stewed tomatoes, low-sodium soup broth, etc, when cooking. It can add up quickly, depending on the ingredients. I can have sodium-- just not too much. This can be challenging, for sure. I enjoy most food, though not a big fan of fish. Plain or spicy is great."
