Help Susie Fight Brain Cancer - a Journey of Faith, Hope & Healing

W
Story

Our beloved Susie Harb is only 38 years old, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is the kind of person who would do absolutely anything for anyone. She has always been there to help others, never asking for anything in return. Now, she and her children need our help. On Friday, May 29th, Susie went to the hospital, never imagining that her life was about to change forever. Doctors discovered a brain tumor, and further testing showed that it was malignant. On June 3rd, Susie underwent surgery to remove the tumor. After weeks of waiting and uncertainty, on July 9th, we received the diagnosis: IDH-mutant astrocytoma, Grade 4, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Susie has faced every step of this journey with an incredible amount of strength, positivity, and faith. Even through the fear and uncertainty, she continues to remind us that God is with her and that He is bigger than this cancer. On July 28th, Susie began the next stage of her fight: chemotherapy and radiation. She will be receiving treatment five days a week for six weeks to start, with more treatment to follow as her doctors determine the best course for her. This diagnosis has changed so much for Susie and her children in such a short amount of time. Because of her treatment, Susie has had to close her in-home daycare, taking away the income she relied on to support her family. She and her children have also had to move in with our parents while she focuses on fighting this disease and getting well. We are starting this page to help take some of the financial burden off Susie and her family while she focuses on what matters most: fighting cancer, healing, and being there for her children. Any funds raised will help with medical expenses and the many unexpected costs that come with this journey. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. And if you aren’t able to give financially, please consider sharing Susie’s story and, most importantly, praying for her. We believe in the power of prayer. We believe in God’s strength when ours is no longer enough. And we believe that God is walking beside Susie through every appointment, every treatment, every difficult day, and every victory still to come. Susie has spent her life being the person who shows up for everyone else. Now it is our turn to show up for her. Please pray for Susie’s healing. Pray for strength for her and her children. Pray for wisdom and guidance for her doctors and medical team. And pray that God gives her peace and comfort through every step of this journey. If you feel led to donate, we are incredibly grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser and lifting Susie up in prayer is just as meaningful to our family. We are trusting God with the days ahead and holding tightly to our faith, hope, and belief in His plan. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 Please join us in surrounding Susie and her children with love, prayers, and support as she fights this battle. We believe in miracles. We believe in healing. And above all, we believe in God. 🙏❤️ Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Susie and our family during this incredibly difficult time.
