We are a young married couple with a son. We have moved three times across the country trying to make a living. We have worked very hard just to barely make it every month. We took a huge leap moving to NC for a fluctuating job, but it has not been as fruitful as we were told. I help turn the power back on after natural disasters for work. We spoil our son whenever we can; we did not have the best upbringing ourselves. Lately, work has been really slow, we are almost out of food, and our vehicle is on its last leg, with bills stacking up. All we're looking for is help to put food on the table and to pay my dues so we can keep working and looking for more work. We've applied for a loan and waiting on a determination; it will be the first time I will be in debt. We do spreadsheets and are very careful with our money. I understand half my generation is in the same situation. Sadly, I've even had to house some of my own friends. The tribulations we have gone through were very tough, but I feel this time we are really struggling. Please give us some faith in humanity; the world seems so chaotic right now. I just want to provide for my family. We have already been homeless once- before we had our son- so I work as hard as I can to never feel that pain again. We don't rely on government assistance, and we've been rejected from aid a few times already.
