Helping Kaylynn Recover from Back Surgery

Lincoln, NE

Story

Hi friends and loved ones, I’m reaching out to ask for some help as I prepare for a major back surgery. While the expected recovery time is around 2 to 6 weeks, I’ll be very limited during that time—especially when it comes to lifting, bending, and managing daily tasks. As a mom to a 9-year-old and a 10-month-old, I know this is going to be a big adjustment. I want to make sure my kids are cared for and that our home stays somewhat afloat while I focus on healing. That’s where I could really use your support. I’m looking for help with things like: Meals (home-cooked or takeout drop-offs) Childcare (especially help with the baby or school runs) Household tasks (laundry, dishes, light cleaning) Errands or just someone to check in I’m also hoping someone might be willing to help coordinate these efforts—someone to help organize who can do what and when, and be flexible if my needs shift as I recover. If you’ve helped someone through recovery before or just love a good spreadsheet, I’d be so grateful to have you in that role. There’s no financial donation needed—just a little time, energy, or willingness to jump in wherever you’re able. Whether it’s one meal, an hour of babysitting, or just a message to check in, it all makes a difference. Thank you so much for being part of my support system. I truly couldn’t do this without you.
